Using the Latest VRS Form? Check the Date Before Hitting Send

Before you complete and send a form to VRS, take a quick moment to look at the revision date in the lower left-hand corner. VRS and Voya, the third-party record keeper for VRS defined contribution plans, frequently update forms. Be sure to use the latest fillable versions found online:
- VRS forms
- Defined Contribution Plans – member forms and employer forms
Members Have Self-Service Options in myVRS
The following transactions can be completed or initiated in myVRS:
- Beneficiary management for defined benefit accounts and life insurance
- Optional group life insurance maintenance
- Purchases of prior service
- Requests for refunds
- Direct deposit maintenance (retirees)
- Health insurance credit maintenance (retirees)
Email Forms Securely Through Proofpoint
VRS uses Proofpoint secure mail for securely submitting forms and related documents by email.
You will need to register the first time you send an encrypted email using Proofpoint. Be sure to use your work email address. Take a few minutes to review the Sending Encrypted Documents to VRS job aidfor instructions on setting up a Proofpoint account, or using your employer’s Proofpoint account, if available.
Using Proofpoint, you can submit any VRS form you previously faxed to VRS. Please note that the system is automated and cannot accept additional correspondence or questions. Proofpoint encrypted email is not available for use by members or retirees. However, you can securely email forms using Proofpoint to VRS on their behalf.
