What should I report for an employee’s creditable compensation?

Creditable compensation is the member’s current annual base salary, excluding:

  • Overtime, bonus pay and extraordinary pay.
  • Vehicle allowances and housing and moving expenses.
  • Termination pay for leave.
  • Non-permanent shift differentials.
  • Mobile device and internet costs.
  • Payments for extra duties, such as pay for teachers who serve as coaches.
  • For state agencies subject to DHRM policy, acting pay is generally not allowable in creditable compensation.
