What should I report for an employee’s creditable compensation?
Creditable compensation is the member’s current annual base salary, excluding:
- Overtime, bonus pay and extraordinary pay.
- Vehicle allowances and housing and moving expenses.
- Termination pay for leave.
- Non-permanent shift differentials.
- Mobile device and internet costs.
- Payments for extra duties, such as pay for teachers who serve as coaches.
- For state agencies subject to DHRM policy, acting pay is generally not allowable in creditable compensation.
