Get Ready – Transition to Voya Begins Later This Month

VRS officially switches defined contribution plan record-keeping services from MissionSquare Retirement to Voya Financial (Voya) on January 1, 2025.

Transition period starts at MissionSquare
Participant account access is restricted, and plan accounts begin to transfer to Voya.

(after 1 p.m.)
Contribution Blackout
Last day for MissionSquare to process contributions.
Week of January 6, 2025 Transition period ends. Participant accounts are live at Voya.
Full account access and transaction capabilities will be available online and by phone.

How You Can Prepare for the Change

Learn how to remit contributions, download deferral change reports and navigate Voya PayCloud by attending an online training session this month. The 90-minute session will cover:

  • How to log in and navigate into the system.
  • How to upload a file and use the system.
  • How to troubleshoot and who to contact for specific issues.

Prepare Employees for the Change

Encourage employees to attend a transition information session hosted by Voya. Multiple days and times remain available, as well a recorded webinar.

Schedule a customized, onsite session for your employees. Email DCP Plan Coordinator Dajon Johnson.

Voya has created informational fliers and sample email content to assist you in promoting either type of session. These materials are available for download from the Participant Communications tab at the top of the Employer Transition Website dcpemployers.varetire.org.
