General Assembly: The special session begins April 4. The reconvened session will begin April 27. Our Legislative Tracker includes links to bills affecting VRS policy and benefits. Look for the VRS Legislative Summary in May.

Form updates:

• The Application for Purchase of Service (VRS-26) has been updated. Find the latest version on VRS websites and in the myVRS Navigator form request system.
• The Designation of Beneficiary (VRS-2) form no longer available on the VRS website. Members now use myVRS to securely name and update beneficiaries for their defined benefit member account and group life insurance, as well as optional group life insurance if the additional coverage is elected. The move to online beneficiary management saves members time and paperwork. It makes it easier for them to change, update and review their beneficiary information, ensuring their benefits are paid according to their wishes. Hybrid Retirement Plan members and participants in the Commonwealth of Virginia 457 Deferred Compensation Plan also should log in to Account Access to name and update beneficiary information for defined contribution accounts.
