What type of training do you need to administer VRS benefits? Let your current experience level and position be a guide to which courses you should take. You may be new to your role, or you may have been in your position for a few years. You may be the go-to person for employees with retirement benefit questions, or you may deal solely with payroll functions. Or, maybe you need to know a little bit about everything!

To help you pinpoint the training best suited to your needs, the redesigned VRS Training Academy curriculum offers three series: Overview, Benefits, and Technical. See which series is the right fit for you.

Overview Series: Overview training is a great way for new benefit administrators to get started or for experienced personnel to get a refresher on VRS topics. Virtual and e-learning courses provide a high-level introduction to VRS benefits and systems topics.

Technical Series: Get more in-depth details about systems topics and video demonstrations. Systems training is ideal if you need step-by-step instructions on how to perform myVRS Navigator processes and the context behind those steps.

Benefits Series: These courses offer a more in-depth look at various benefit topics, designed to give you the background and details you need to administer VRS benefits and counsel employees.

Each learning series course focuses on principal points and takeaways to help you process benefits and counsel employees on time-sensitive decisions with impact on their retirement benefits.
