Monitor 2025 Legislation Affecting VRS Benefits, Starting January 14

The 2025 Virginia General Assembly gets underway this week. Starting January 14, the VRS Legislation webpage will update regularly to help you track active House and Senate bills that may affect VRS policy and benefits.

Lawmakers meet for a 30-day regular session this year, followed by a reconvened session in the spring to consider the governor’s recommendations or vetoed legislation.
