Stay on Top of All VRS-Related Legislation This Session

During each General Assembly session VRS tracks legislation that will affect benefits, policies and procedures. In the 2025 session, which opened January 8, lawmakers introduced bills focused on several VRS-related matters, including:
- Changes in retirement plan membership, eligibility or benefits for certain hazardous duty personnel.
- Line of Duty Act coverage and benefits.
- Return-to-work rules for law-enforcement officers.
- Increasing the retirement allowance for certain judges.
VRS will update the tracker periodically during the session.
