Retrieve GASB and Census Data Reports Now for Audit Compliance
VRS-participating employers must present documentation to their auditors that supports their accounting practices for employee retirement contributions.
VRS provides employers with two reports to help meet your documentation needs. Both can be accessed in myVRS Navigator.
GASB Report – Validation of Census Data
This report includes employee-specific information about salary changes, separation, enrollments and other employment data related to VRS benefits.
Time-sensitive: The Validation of Census Data runs overnight in myVRS Navigator and is available to the employer the next day. The report includes a maximum of the last 18 months of member information. Data before this period cannot be accessed. VRS recommends you establish a process to pull the information every quarter so that a year’s worth of data will be ready for auditors in advance of their deadline.
Restricted to the following roles:
- Person Account Processor
- Employment Processor
- Contributions Processor
- Security Administrator
GASB 68
The GASB Statement No. 68 report covers the employer-specific financial data regarding the employer’s retirement plans but does not include sensitive information. The report is accessible to all myVRS Navigator users for each employer.
