Employer Update

In 2022, VRS celebrated 80 years of serving those who serve others. Through the decades, the VRS team has consistently worked to meet member needs at every stage by providing services, retirement counseling and education throughout their careers and into retirement.

The past year brought continued focus on advancements to customer service delivery and technology:

• More than a third (38%) of July retirements were completed online in 2022.
• VRS launched a new online counseling appointment scheduling system, providing convenient access for members and automated appointment reminders.
• Members and retirees can now manage their optional group life insurance coverage online through myVRS.
• The new VRS Member Guide provides concise benefit information with important action steps, timelines and online resources.
